Biography

Michelle Snyder has over 19 years of experience in the geosciences field. Since joining PNNL in 2000, her work has focused primarily on sediment and groundwater characterization to monitor contaminant fate and transport. More recently, she supports sediment characterization projects that includes physical and geochemical characterization of sediments, as well as contaminant fate and transport, contaminant immobilization and remediation, tank waste characterization, and evaluation of waste forms for stabilization. Michelle co-manages the Environmental Sciences Laboratory (ESL) and manages ESL's quality assurance compliance. She is also a Cognizant Space Manager, operates various instrumentation in the laboratory, and contributes to developing methods and standard operating procedures for the ESL laboratories.
