Biography

Piyoosh Jaysaval has over 5 years of experience in computational geophysics. He joined PNNL in February 2019. His primary research has been focused on developing numerical modeling and inversion methods for electromagnetic (EM) and seismic wave propagation in the 2D/3D earth. He has developed several large-scale novel forward modelling and inversion methods during his research tenure with the main objective of computing results that are more accurate or reducing total modeling and inversion times.

Research Interests

  • Large scale geophysical modeling and inversion
  • Joint inversion of geophysical data
  • Direct and iterative solvers
